Have you ever laid in bed, completely worn out, yet your brain just won’t stop thinking about everything?
The list-making, the overthinking, the troubleshooting of tomorrow’s needs before today has even ended…
As a mom, it can feel like my brain is always on. Always making sure everyone else is okay. Always holding a mental checklist of meals, emotions, appointments, and everything in between. And of course, I know my brain doesn’t actually turn off. I just want to stop solving everything all the time so I can rest!
Can you relate?
When our minds feel like a spinning wheel that won’t slow down, it’s more than just a nuisance—it’s a sign that we need a pause, too.
Not a vacation (though wouldn’t that be nice?), but a simple moment to breathe, to reconnect, and to remember that our peace matters too.
Here’s what I’ve learned and want to share:
1. We don’t have to fix everything before we can exhale.
2. We’re not failing for feeling overwhelmed.
3. We’re human. And worthy of rest.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 🕊️
In this short video I recorded below, I’m sharing a few things that help me center myself again—especially when my thoughts are spinning.
I pray it gives you a moment of peace today—and permission to take a breath.
